Of the fortified buildings lying in the hills above Merano, Schloss Labers is on of the most attractive. The handsome building with its ancient garden is wrapped in wonderful quiet. Real fortified castle with a tower of the XVth century, restored with care to offer a Pre-Romanesque museum and this charming hotel, which keeps the magic and ancient taste of the Middle Ages. The 12 rooms are located in both floors of the castle. Each of them is decorated in a different style and equipped with wooden furniture and ancient objects. The restaurant has been built in the space between two ancient supporting walls of the interior patio and it offers the typical Asturian cooking.
The formerly Propstei of the Benediktiner abbey St. Johann in Müstair with the 1199 attached Hospiz and the former seat of the count de Capol form the today's hotel "Chasa de Capol ", an Etape Gourmande with a very hospitable atmosphere. Built in 1894, its architeture in "dragonstyle",it is not only one of the greatest tourist hotels from that periode, but also one of the best preserved.
