Dr Holms is idyllically situated in Geilo - halfway between Oslo and Bergen, at the doorstep of the Hardangervidda National Park and the heart of the beautiful mountain scenery, and is a starting point for inspiring and exiting adventures. Here you can enjoy the mountain rages for summer hikes and relaxation, and during the other half of the year join skiers from all of Europe in this unique winter paradise It is the indefinable atmosphere - the soul - that has given Dr. Holms Hotel its distinguished position amongst the Norwegians most famous hotels, with honest and personal service. Only those who have stayed here really know what we are talking about. Today the hotel contains 126 rooms, a classic restaurant with a superb cuisine, the legendary Skibar which turns into a pianobar during the night,a lounge that provides a dancing area, a Pub, a cosy Library, a wine Cellar for wine tasting, Dr. Holms Spa (the only Shiseido Spa in Scandinavia), Wellness-center with swimmingpool, steambath and sauna, and a Banquet- and Conference department. Dr Holms Hotel is expanding, and we wish to strengthen Dr. Holms Hotel's and Geilo's positions through developing new concepts and rebuilding and expanding old ones. Within December 2006 we will have brand new facilities to offer our quests: New and extended SPA, Restaurant/ Brasserie, Bowl & Dine and a Café in the lobby area.
