


The group comprises well-run and long-established hotels and restaurants built between 1380 and 1939, all of which have their own character and style. The architecture of each hotel ranges from pseudo Swiss and empire to Jugendstil, Interest for The Historical Hotels has incresed beyond expectations. This has meant that several of the hotels have become more conscious of their cultural heritage and have carried out extensive restoration work. This is a unique opportunity for visitors to experience the beauty of Norwegian nature with its extreme contrasts, combined with a stay at a hotel steeped in tradition.
The group has 27 member hotels in Norway and seven member restaurants. The oldest hotel was established in 1690 in Solvorn by the Sognefjord. De Historiske is represented all over Norway, with the majority of hotels located in the western part of the country.
