Camillas Hus is named after the house’s first tenant, the author Camilla Collett. The hotel’s location immediately behind the Royal Palace, in a quiet district with ample parking, makes it the perfect choice for your next stay in Oslo. Most of the city’s attractions – museums, exhibitions, the Vigeland Park, Aker Brygge (a popular area for shopping and leisure) and Karl Johans gate, the main street – are within walking distance.
We’ve gone to great lengths to make the hotel and your room elegant yet intimate. Teamed with a high standard of service, the hotel ambience will enable you to relax and take a step back from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Breakfast is served in the neighbouring building, in collaboration with Restaurant Ni&Tyve. The restaurant menu is Mediterranean inspired with a nod to Scandinavian tastes.
At 150 years old, Camillas Hus is one of Oslo’s oldest wooden buildings in the Swiss-chalet style. We have worked with the City of Oslo Conservation Office to preserve the building’s historical features and combined these with present-day standards of luxury and comfort, making the hotel a unique venue in central Oslo.
Camillas Hus is the ideal venue for your stay in Oslo, whether you’re on a business trip, meeting up with family and friends, or simply want a few days for yourself.
The hotel’s seven rooms offer guests a comfortable stay in tasteful surroundings, with all the latest high-tech including free Wi-Fi and a Samsung tablet in each room.
