Since 1745, Glengarriff Bay has been home to a hostelry and accommodation on the site of the current Eccles Hotel, previously named Bantry House. As the years have gone by, the hotel has been host famous guests and historical occasions. Sitting on Bantry Bay and set on the idyllic Wild Atlantic Way in West Cork, the Eccles Hotel offers the finest in charm, comfort and location. Our acclaimed Head Chef Eddie Attwell came to West Cork after almost two decades in the hospitality industry, including working in 2* Michelin restaurant Lenclume in Cumbria, as well as appearing twice on BBC’s Great British Menu. Situated a short driving distance from the delightful St. Finbarr’s Church in romantic Gougane Barra, we will help you create the memories of a lifetime. From your first enquiry to when the final guest departs and everything in between, Rose, our wedding coordinator, is there to ensure that your special day runs smoothly. We can welcome up to 250 guests, and we are on hand to organise everything from flowers to fizz, music to menus, all in the magnificent setting of our Ilnacullin suite, overlooking the stunning Bantry Bay. Our seasonal wedding menus and drinks reception include locally sourced food, from West Cork Artisan food producers.
