Building: 1798

Our large country house – which contains 33 spectacular rooms – was converted from Queen Anne stables in 1798. Though it’s located just over an hour away from exhilarating Dublin, Rathsallagh House is set in a peaceful oasis of parkland – embedding you in the soothing sights and sounds of nature.

You’ll love our hotel’s atmosphere. With log and turf fires in the bar and drawing rooms, luxurious furnishings and gorgeous gardens to explore, it’s a endearing slice of escapism in the Irish countryside. What’s more, the food at our historic property epitomises the very best of country house cooking… our breakfasts have won the National Breakfast Awards a record four times!

Whatever you need, we’ll do our best to deliver. At Rathsallagh House we have conference and meeting, spa and billiard rooms, along with a tennis court. With a championship golf course nearby, and set close to sights including the Wicklow National Park and Curragh Racecourse, you’ll have plenty to do in and out of our grounds. Discover incredible Ireland – and experience a spectacular stay – when you book with us.

ROOMS & SUITES

You’ll love our rooms and suites at Rathsallagh House. All of them feature free internet, DVD players and plush bathrobes, and many include double-ended baths and underfloor heating. Your dog is also welcome at the hotel (just make sure to notify us, beforehand): we have heated kennels one minute away from reception, so they can enjoy a little luxury, too.

RESTAURANT

The food served at Rathsallagh House is Irish country house cooking at its best – a lovely mix of local lamb, beef and venison, along with fresh fish and (where possible) locally-grown vegetables and herbs. We have our own gardens in which we grow ingredients, as well, along with our own free range hens.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Imagine the wedding of your dreams in your own seventeenth century country house, set in a bed of rolling fields, tall trees and winding avenues. With its open fires, luxurious dining room, plush accommodation and wedding pavilion, Rathsallagh House is more than just a very special venue – it’s a fairytale. We can also cater to meetings and corporate events. Enquire for details.
